His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson posted videos to YouTube when he was 13 using the pseudonym "MrBeast6000". His first content consisted of videos and Let's Plays estimating the wealth other YouTubers. In 2017 his "counting as high as 100,000" YouTube video became viral. He was 13 years old old and used the handle "MrBeast6000". His initial videos featured Let's Plays and videos that analyzed other YouTubers' wealth. Donaldson has hired a lot of his childhood friends as helpers to run his expanding channel.
